Detroit River

The Detroit River is a 24-nautical-mile-long (44 km; 28 mi)[1] river that is a strait in the Great Lakes system.[2] The river divides the metropolitan areas of Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario an area referred to as Detroit–Windsor. The two are connected by the Ambassador Bridge and the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel.

Walleye fishing in the Detroit river is some of the best fishing in the country. During the spring run, millions of walleye run up the Detroit river from Lake Erie to spawn. I target walleye as soon as the ice leaves the river, when it is safe to fish.

Lake St. Clair

Lake St. Clair (French: Lac Sainte-Claire) is a freshwater lake that lies between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of Michigan. It was named after Clare of Assisi, on whose feast day it was discovered by European explorers. It is part of the Great Lakes system, and along with the St. Clair River and Detroit River, Lake St. Clair connects Lake Huron (to its north) with Lake Erie (to its south). It has a total surface area of about 430 square miles (1,100 km2) and average depth of just 11 ft (3.4 m); to ensure an uninterrupted waterway government agencies on both sides of the lake have maintained a deep shipping channel through the shallow lake for well over a century.

Lake St. Clair is one of the top muskie fisheries in the country. With its shallow shorelines and wide open basin it is an amazing place to catch a fish of a life time!

Lake St. Clair is often described as a muskie factory and ranks at the top of the list for muskie lakes in the country. The muskie season on Lake St. Clair opens the 2nd Saturday in June and runs through to December 15th. As many anglers know muskies like to fatten up during the fall and this can be the best time to catch a true MONSTER. Muskie can be a hard species to target. I always recommend booking at least 2 days to target these fish in the summer or fall. As with any kind of trophy fish I believe in 100% catch and release. We provide all proper handling and release tools.
